When I was young and stupid — not toooo many years ago — I really thought only a select few people could tap a steady flow of creative genius.
I later learned that was B.S.
The fact is, creativity is a muscle that needs to be exercised consistently to produce great results. If you don’t practice harnessing creative thinking, this skill will shrivel down to nothing. But keep working and it’ll soon come to you in a snap.
So how do you unleash your creative thinking — and, in turn, assure that freedom and “voluntary joblessness” become your way of life?
Well, the first thing is to become a human leech.
I don’t mean you have to suck the blood out of every living thing. I mean you should devour as much knowledge as you can. Read everything — good and bad — and keep your mind open.
Focus on a creative activity everyday.
Even doodling is a creative activity. Don’t let anything hold you back. Practice drawing for a couple of minutes every day. Get out your camera and start snapping photos like crazy. Keep a journal and make a point to write in it religiously.
You might actually start liking those things you do each day. Pretty soon, they’ll become a part of you, and you’ll be addicted to these creative exercises.
What’s great is that you can pursue this stuff anywhere — even at one of your local hangouts. Open up to the people around you. Here’s your chance to start using some of the methods I describe in my free eBook Fire-Up Your Cash Flow Over A Donut And Coffee, which you can grab a copy of in the sidebar to your right, if you don’t already have it. You might even be launching a new business and generating a client base in no time!
Start thinking beyond your “limits.” If you follow these steps, pretty soon you’ll be living a life full of interesting adventures. And you’ll be one BIG step closer to freeing yourself from an economic system that’s probably been strangling your life.
