Well, sure. If you have your detractors, success does a fine job of “rubbing their faces in it.”
But if revenge is your only motivator on the road to accomplishment, forget it. The angrier you get at your naysayers, the harder you’ll work and the worse your results will be.
Because revenge is crappy karma, that’s why.
My fastest and best results have always come when I’m just competing against myself. Not trying to prove anything to anyone. Just having a good time.
That’s when magic happens.
Doing anything for the sake of revenge — whatever it is — inevitably leads to misery.
