Ignore the Buzz and Hit the Road

I’m busy shaking off the buzz from a wine-tasting lollapalooza with friends who visited us from out of town this past weekend.

Since I wasn’t the designated driver this time ’round, I hit it pretty hard. Boy howdy, I’m feelin’ it…

And through the fog o’ the grape, I’m frantically prepping for my trip this week to San Diego for four days of Comic-Con.

Underwear and socks.

Check.

Comfortable walking shoes.

Check.

Oversized carry bag, snacks, water, cash…

Check, check, check, check.

And I’m gonna put my event ticket right here, where I’ll be sure to find it when registration time comes around Wednesday afternoon.

You know, I really hate packing.

I’m always afraid I’ll forget something and mess up my trip.

But here’s the big secret…

Eventually, whether you think you’re ready to roll or not, you’ve gotta just suck it up and hit the road.

Kinda reminds me of starting your own business.

The biggest stumbling block is thinking you have to know everything before you take your first step.

Or worrying that you’ll forget a bit of info and mess it all up.

That’s bogus.

You can spend a lot of time “getting ready.” But eventually, whether you think you’re ready to roll or not, you’ve gotta just suck it up and hit the road.

OK, I have to finish packing.
