**SPOILER ALERT**

WalkingDead640_s640x427_1_s640x427-001If you’re a fan of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” and haven’t watched the mid-season finale from two weeks ago, I’m warning you right now…

THERE’S A SPOILER AHEAD!!

(And if you’re a REAL fan and haven’t caught up with this episode after two weeks, what the hell’s wrong with you?)

Anyway, now that I’ve warned ya, what happened was this…

A much beloved, admired, wise, and heroic character got his head chopped off by repeated, blood-drenched blows from a friggin’ machete.

Sure, we always expect gruesome deaths on “The Walking Dead.”

But this TV series has become especially skilled at delivering the unexpected even when it’s expected.

Lemme clarify.

To be consistent with its premise, “The Walking Dead” absolutely HAS to kill off major characters each and every season. After all, disgusting bloodshed is an everyday thing during your typical zombie apocalypse.

But what the people behind this show have mastered is the art of keeping you aware at all times that someone you care about might be killed brutally any minute, but still startling you every time it happens.

Come to think of it, though, that’s what life’s all about, isn’t it?

The hammer can fall any damn time.

And it won’t wait ’til you’re ready.

Why not plow into the thick of things right now and work on your dreams before some machete-swinging dickhead takes you out?

Just askin’.
