Yesterday was Super Tuesday, so there’s a lot of rantin’ and hootin’ and hollerin’ this morning about the results of all those political primaries and caucuses.
More important, I think, is that yesterday was Taco Tuesday at most every Mexican restaurant around here. And 99¢ tacos always trump politics in my world. (No pun intended.)
But people ask me about the current slate of presidential candidates anyway.
Here’s my take.
Hillary, Bernie, Trump, Cruz…no matter who our new master is next year, I think you’ll find that things will remain pretty much status quo.
Taxes will be high.
Government agents will threaten your liberties.
Airline security will be a bitch.
And whether your guy won or not, you’ll still be pissy and grumpy in the long haul.
So rather than expend your energy on things you can’t control — like this election process — the best thing you can do right now is focus on what you CAN control…
Growing your business by providing superior value to others.
Shift your focus off the political rhetoric (cuz that’s all it is, friend, meaningless rhetoric that’ll be forgotten after the election).
Go help some people.
Do business.
